A letter to 2024

🎆 My dearest 2024,

I don’t like how time flies. 🕰️ I am grateful and sad, exploding with happiness at times and god, I’m disappointed, I am failing so much and learning so much, I get up. Ha, it’s all so incredibly universal. 😘

🌺 The most important lesson you taught me is one of love. Love is the most beautiful thing and most valuable thing this life has to offer. It’s not money, it’s not success. No, it’s as simple as love. Thank you for my family, my friends and the ‘ups’ of my passion.

My sister got married. 🥲 I got a 2nd family in Lanaken. Together with an amazing group of people, we made my first professional music video. 📽️ I officially became an entrepreneur. I made plans for a new album. My first modelling shoots. ✈️ My first flight. A comforting decision about alcohol. 🍷 My home studio is set. I started doing voice-overs professionally. My first composing job, first illustrating job. ✍🏼 Thinking about quitting music. Dreaming about Broadway. Thinking about quitting it all again. I cried a lot. I got out of bed a lot. I met people of whom I know they will be with me for the rest of our days. It’s all about spreading love. ❤️

Although the mood swings are getting worse than ever, I feel bold to confront your sequel, a new year, new opportunities, new muscles to get torn and to return stronger than before.

🌻 Thank you for being patient with me, ‘24.

I’ll see you when nostalgia comes my way.

Love,
Anne-Lien
